2020-21 UEFA Europa League – LASK vs Ludogorets Preview & Prediction Both of these teams are looking to bounce back from defeat their respective defeats on Matchday 1 with LASK having lost 3-0 against Tottenham, while Ludogorets suffered a 1-2 home defeat against Antwerp. It is LASK who look better equipped to do just that, as they have a formidable home record this season with five wins from five competitive games - while also compiling a goals for and against record of 18-1. The Austrian side also won all three of their home games in the Europa League group stage, so this is certainly a very difficult trip for Ludogorets. The visitors have won only two of their last 13 Europa League matches and it’s unlikely that they will improve on that record here. They face a tough test to improve on that record as they host Napoli, although the Italian side did go down to AZ Alkmaar in their opener last week. Sociedad have been very solid at the back so far this season and that has seen them top La Liga at this early stage with confidence flowing through the camp. They should be able to continue their strong run by earning at least a point here and having conceded just three goals in eight games in all competitions, this clash should produce under 2.5 goals. AZ Alkmaar have proven difficult to beat so far this season and they highlighted that in barrels as they defeated Napoli in their first UEFA Europa League contest last Thursday. They are now unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions, although that win over the Italian outfit is the only victory during that run. They now come up against Rijeka who were edged by Real Sociedad last week and despite winning their last five in all competitions before that loss, AZ should be too good for them on home soil. Omonia Nicosia made it five games without defeat in all competitions with a draw with Enosis at the weekend which came on the back taking a point from their clash with PAOK in their opening UEFA Europa League contest last week. They will hope to build on that point as they take on PSV with the Dutch side losing their last two, including going down to Granada in their UEL opener. That is a blip for PSV who have started the season so well but they are capable of responding on this trip to Cyprus by avoiding a third straight loss.
