This is the official journal of the International Society for Phytocosmetic Science (ISPS). ISPS is a nonprofit, worldwide professional society comprised of individuals and institutions engaged in the science of using plant-based ingredients in the production of cosmetics and personal care products. Phytoessence.org is the leading website that provides information related to the ISPS activities, including events, publication, and member services. Events are scheduled twice annually in the Americas and Europe or Asia under society's auspices. The International Phytocosmetic and Phytotherapy Congresses (IPPC) serves the main organizational goal of promoting and fostering advances in science and technology using plant-based ingredients to produce cosmetics and personal care products.

The International Journal of Phytocosmetics and Natural Ingredients [IJPNI] supports researchers, product experts, scholars, and professionals in the fields of natural plant-based ingredients, the study of medicinal and aromatic plants, product formulation for cosmetics and phytomedicine, pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, scientific research focusing on bioactive compounds used in phytocosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and personal care products.

International Journal of Phytocosmetics and Natural Ingredients [IJPNI] is an Open Access peer-reviewed journal established in 2014, that serves as the official online journal of the International Society for Phytocosmetic Science. Editor and reviewers are self-appointed experts in many related fields. The main objective of this publication is to foster effective collaboration and information exchange among experts in cosmetic chemistry, phytochemistry, pharmacognosy and technical experts from the industry.
